Love after regret

Meanwhile, Kabir was lost in thought.

A dangerous glint flashed in his blue eyes as he muttered coldly,

"Rohan Ahuja… do you really think you can use my wife to destroy me and I wouldn't know?"

"I've remained silent all this time because you haven't harmed her."

"But if you even think about hurting her…"

A cruel smile appeared on his lips.

"I'll personally introduce you to the monster called Kabir Rathore."

"I love her so much that even a scratch on her body feels like a thousand wounds on my heart."

As he spoke, his eyes were filled with love, obsession, and madness for Chahat—emotions whose colors the future had yet to reveal.

With that, he left for his meeting.

---

Days passed.

And before anyone realized it, an entire week had gone by.

For Chahat, it had been the most miserable week of her life.

Not because she had suffered.

But because she hadn't been able to see Kabir.

She wanted to call him countless times.

Yet, she was afraid.

What if he didn't answer?

And more importantly, she wanted to meet him face to face.

She wanted to apologize.

She wanted to tell him how much she had missed him.

This one week had taught her just how painful waiting could be.

And it also made her realize how deeply she had wronged him.

Ignoring him.

Distrusting him.

Hurting the man who loved her unconditionally.

Perhaps…

She would never be able to forgive herself for that.

---

Lost in her thoughts, she sat sadly on her bed.

Suddenly—

Several car doors shut outside.

Hearing the familiar sound, she rushed to the balcony.

And there—

She saw him.

Kabir.

Stepping out of his car with his usual elegance and authority, surrounded by bodyguards.

The moment Chahat saw him, her lifeless face blossomed with happiness.

Tears instantly welled up in her eyes.

Without wasting a second, she rushed out of her room, ran down the stairs, and hurried outside.

Before Kabir could even react—

She threw herself into his arms.

Kabir, completely unprepared for this, staggered back two steps.

Instinctively, his hands moved around her waist to steady her.

He was utterly shocked.

His mind simply couldn't process what had just happened.

Regaining his senses, he tried to gently pull her away.

But Chahat tightened her embrace.

Seeing this, Kabir spoke in his usual cold voice.

"Chahat…"

"What are you doing?"

"Are you trying to deceive me again?"

"If you think doing something like this will make me let you go, then you're wrong."

His voice darkened.

"I will never let you leave me."

"The sooner you understand that, the better."

---

Chahat, who had her eyes closed peacefully in his embrace, felt a painful sting in her heart.

She knew.

She had made so many mistakes in her previous life that even her hug made him suspicious.

But she couldn't blame him.

Taking a deep breath, she softly whispered,

"I don't want to leave you either…"

Those words shocked Kabir once again.

Today, this girl had been giving him one shock after another.

Yesterday, she wouldn't even look at him.

If by chance he appeared in her path, she would change her route to avoid him.

Then what had happened today?

Why was she refusing to let go?

---

Coming out of his thoughts, Kabir realized they were still standing outside.

Although none of the bodyguards dared to look—the moment they saw Chahat rush outside, they had respectfully lowered their heads.

But this was Mumbai.

And nights were cold.

He didn't care about himself.

But he cared about Chahat.

Seeing that she had no intention of releasing him, Kabir sighed.

The next second—

He lifted her into his arms.

Princess style.

And carried her inside.

Straight to her room.

Placing her carefully on the bed, he finally managed to create some distance between them.

Then he looked at her.

Chahat slowly opened her eyes.

And the moment she found Kabir sitting so close to her—

Her heartbeat accelerated.

Love for him was clearly visible in her eyes.

Kabir had begun to understand that something was different.

But he still had countless questions.

Questions only Chahat could answer.

"Why did you come running downstairs?"

"And what happened to you today?"

---

Hearing his question, Chahat moved closer and looked directly into his eyes.

"What did I do?"

She smiled sweetly.

"I simply hugged my handsome and adorable husband."

Looking innocent and unbelievably cute, she tilted her head.

Kabir froze.

His heart skipped a beat.

For a moment, he simply stared at her with eyes filled with love and possessiveness.

Then he finally asked,

"Why have you changed so much?"

"You didn't even like seeing me before."

Before he could finish, Chahat interrupted him.

"That was my mistake."

"And I've finally realized it."

"I want to correct it."

"I want to give our marriage a second chance."

She looked at him earnestly.

"Will you give me a chance to make things right?"

---

Kabir's heart trembled.

How long had he waited to hear those words?

Yet…

He couldn't believe her.

How could he?

The woman who couldn't bear the sight of him yesterday…

Was asking for a second chance today.

"Why all of a sudden?" he asked.

"So much time has passed. Why now?"

"What changed?"

---

Chahat became nervous.

She couldn't tell him the truth.

So after a moment, she softly replied,

"I've realized who truly belongs to me… and who doesn't."

"And no, this realization didn't happen overnight."

"I've been thinking about it for a long time."

"I realized that perhaps… you didn't do anything wrong that night."

"I was drugged."

"And if you hadn't done what you did… my life might have been in danger."

"So…"

She smiled through her tears.

"I've decided to forget the past and give our life another chance."

"Will you walk with me?"

---

Kabir's heart was overflowing with happiness.

But his face remained expressionless.

"Fine."

"If you want to give this relationship a second chance, then I'll support you."

"But remember one thing."

"This is your first and last chance."

His eyes turned frighteningly cold.

"If you break my trust again…"

"You'll see a side of me that you won't like."

---

But Chahat barely paid attention to his warning.

She was too happy.

Despite all her mistakes…

He had still accepted her.

Tears filled her eyes.

This time…

I won't disappoint you.

This time… I'll love you with all my heart.

Unable to hold back, she hugged him again.

"Thank you so much for giving me another chance."

"I promise…"

"I'll never disappoint you again."

---

For the first time in a very long while—

A smile appeared on Kabir Rathore's face.

A smile invisible to everyone.

But one that reflected the happiness buried deep inside his heart.

He couldn't even put into words how happy he was.

Because the woman he loved more than his own life…

Had finally returned to him.

But will their life continue peacefully?

Or is an even greater storm approaching?
