As soon as Kabir's eyes landed on Chahat's phone, he narrowed them suspiciously.
On the screen, the caller's name read:
🐀 Mole Rat
Meanwhile, Chahat froze.
Seeing Kabir's expression, she became nervous.
Her biggest fear wasn't Rohan himself.
It was the possibility that because of him, distance would once again come between her and Kabir.
And after finally regaining his trust, she didn't want anyone—especially Rohan—to ruin the happiness they had just begun to rebuild.
Without wasting any time, she quickly picked up the phone and rejected the call.
She had no intention of ruining her mood by talking to him.
However, Kabir had noticed everything.
"Wifey," he asked calmly, "who is that?"
Of course, he had no idea that Chahat had changed Rohan's contact name to "Mole Rat."
Caught off guard, Chahat stammered.
"It's… it's no one. Just a friend."
Then she quickly tried to change the topic.
"Forget about that. Feed me first. I'm hungry."
But she couldn't even meet his eyes.
Kabir noticed every little detail.
Wrapping his arm more firmly around her waist, he rested his head lightly on her shoulder, enjoying the familiar scent that brought him peace.
The sudden closeness made Chahat's heart race.
Kabir noticed her reaction and couldn't help but smile inwardly.
Still, his question remained unanswered.
In a low voice, he asked again,
"Who was it, Chahat?"
"And what relationship do you have with him?"
Already flustered by his closeness, Chahat answered absentmindedly.
"It was… Rohan."
The moment she uttered his name—
Kabir's entire expression darkened.
Jealousy instantly ignited inside him.
He had never been able to tolerate another man being around Chahat.
And now, that same man kept calling her repeatedly.
Before Chahat could explain herself, her phone rang again.
Both of them looked toward the table.
Rohan.
Again.
Kabir's patience was hanging by a thread.
Meanwhile, Chahat panicked.
Seeing the storm brewing in his eyes, she desperately searched for a way to calm him down.
"Kabir…" she said softly.
"I'm sorry."
But he remained silent.
Realizing how upset he was, she gently held his face in her hands and smiled apologetically.
"Kabir, look at me."
"I don't want anyone to come between us."
Those words finally eased the anger in his eyes.
Seeing her sincerity, Kabir sighed.
"You're unbelievable," he muttered.
Chahat smiled sheepishly.
Meanwhile, Kabir couldn't help teasing her.
"You know, Wifey…"
"You really need to learn how to apologize properly."
saying this he clash his lip onto hers and started kissing her deeply .. after few minutes he finally end the kiss and looked at chahat who was glaring at him . She was still breathless
And seeing her adorable expression, Kabir burst out laughing.
The embarrassed woman wished the ground would swallow her whole.
Seeing her red face, Kabir chuckled and whispered teasingly,
"If you get shy this easily, how are you going to handle all the memories we're supposed to make together?"
Chahat immediately jumped off his lap and stood several feet away.
Her face was completely red.
Kabir found her reaction incredibly adorable.
He got up and slowly walked toward her.
But before he could tease her again, Chahat hurriedly changed the subject.
"Don't you have to go to the office?"
"Look, you're already late!"
Kabir raised an eyebrow.
"Actually, I was thinking of taking the day off and spending some time with my wife."
"What do you think?"
"No!"
Chahat immediately pushed him away.
"You've had enough fun for one morning."
"Go to the office!"
Kabir instantly pouted.
And seeing the mighty Kabir Rathore—the uncrowned king of the business world, the Devil himself—making such a childish expression…
Chahat almost laughed.
If the world ever saw this side of him, no one would believe it.
The feared Kabir Rathore…
Sulking because his wife told him to go to work.
Trying hard to suppress her laughter, Chahat smiled and gently kissed his cheek.
"Come home early this evening."
Immediately, Kabir's face brightened.
"Fine."
"But only because you asked."
After saying goodbye, he finally left for the office.
Meanwhile, Chahat stood there, smiling to herself.
Thinking about all the beautiful moments they had shared that morning, her face lit up with happiness.
"I pray every day that you and I always stay together like this, Kabir."
Today, Chahat was happier than she had ever been.
But before her happiness could grow further—
Her phone rang again.
And this time…
The smile on her face disappeared.
